Zero Tolerance Closing Policy: Once our supervisor
does a walk-through with a customer two days prior to closing, it is our
policy that all of the items listed on the punch list will be repaired
prior to closing.
30 Year Tuff & Dry Waterproof System: We guarantee that basement
walls will not leak within 20 years.
Seal Drywall with 1st Coat of Paint: We seal the drywall before applying
the first coat of paint to close the pores and prevent the paint from
absorbing into the drywall. The result is a better finish.
Higher Concentrate Pounds/Square (PSI) for Footers, Basement Walls, Exterior
Concrete & Floors: We use 3500 PSI Concrete which is much stronger
than the normal PSI used for homes.
Poured Walls in Basement: Rather than block, we pour the basement
walls to reduce settling problems.
R-Factor on Windows: We use insulated glass to increase the resistance
to hot or cold temperatures.
Direct Vent Fireplace: Compared to wood burning fireplaces, a direct
vent fireplace is much cleaner, less expensive to operate and more convenient.
Design Center in Furnished Model Home: For the convenience of our
customers we have a design center in our model home where they can select
countertops, carpet, shutters and more.
Subs Have Been With Us On Average 8+ Years: Having subcontractors
work with us on average for 8 plus years allows us to have a consistently
high quality finished product.
Basement Walls 9 Feet Tall: As opposed to having 8 foot basement walls,
we build our basements with 9 foot tall walls to allow more headroom in
a finished basement.
Have Own Equipment, Trucks and Bobcat: In the building business there
is a lot of trash. Having our own equipment allows us to keep our lots
and lots surrounding yours from having any trash build-up.
Internal Inspection Program: We have an established internal inspection
process that is implemented to make sure that we have all problems corrected
prior to a third party inspection or customer walk-through.
Many Upgrades Included In Base Pricing: Because we want our customers
to get their dream home, we include many upgrades in our base pricing.
In-House CAD Services: Having in-house CAD services allows Pickett
Homes the ability to easily make modifications to homes.
In Business Since 1989: Because we have been in business since 1989,
we have an experienced crew and are very knowledgeable about building
quality homes.
Employees & Consumer Representatives On-Site 7 Days/Week: Someone
is available daily to answer questions or give a tour of the model home.
Use Copper For Roof / Brick Flashing: Unlike other materials, copper
does not have to be painted during the life of the home.
